KHBBS Rumor Control

This page was dedicated directly to KHBBS premonitions and rumors. When this game comes out, most of you will get more than a shock to the system since this game isn't too much like KH, KHII, KHCOM, or KH365/2 days. It a completely different and new experience that won't leave you disappointed. (The game was hot enough to get on KHII's CG render of the next game)  First of all, this will not be as big as  KHII, but it will be close enough to be a great game for a handheld like the PSP. KHII had a lot of variety, but most of this is side missions, synthesis farming, gummi ship customizations, form boosting, and mostly leveling and gaining abilities. The rest is coherent with the KHBBS experience. Not to say that there isn't any of that stuff in there, but you're just not going to get all of that in one handheld, it's not impossible, it's just not included here. The PsP has at most 64 MB up to the 3000, with the psp go with attachments, 16 GB RAMS at most. The PS2 also has 16 MB, but has R5900 MIPS, while the psp only has R4000. (MIPS increase overall performance in a console or computer. Its like the super chip you see in mechanical objects like the intel processor or the AMD processor.) If put in a test, I don't think the PSP would compete, but it's obviously close with both the new features and the new stick layout. Plus, its handheld  for on the go boring trips and rides to your long awaited visit to your far away relatives house. (I mean, who doesn't hate those? You probably don't even know the people.) The brainpower may be less, but it doesn't skimp on the necessities, all that you need are included here and it looks just like it would on the PS2, with all that you could want. (Sorry about all the techno geek stuff, this is the last of it I promise.)

When you compare this to 365/2 days, there's just no way that game can compete, with the DSi having just games that are made for the stylus, the gameplay and the graphics are really poor compared to the PSP. Now on to the rumors. The first rumor was that Ven's gameplay will be like Roxas, but this is a huge misconception to how this game will play. Roxas was not an inverted keyblade wielder and he wasn't like this even when his memory was wiped clean and he got his keyblade back. If you played KHIIFM+ and fought Roxas with Sora, you'll know how the difference in their gameplay isn't even close. (I guess getting turned into a nobody would greatly change your fighting style. I mean, look at Xemnas and Xehanort, two completely different fighting styles.) It isn't even shown how he even created the dual wielding keyblade style in the first place. Most people also predicted that Terra would be just like how he fought Sora in FM+, but this is also a bad prediction seeing as Terra only used six overall moves in the fight with no style change or nothing. (Seeing as this is before BBS, I doubt they would enter one anyway.) Still, there's some moves included in birth by sleep that allows you to use some of the moves he used in KHII FM+. Clearly, years have given him speed since all of his attacks are so fast here but slow in BBS, than again, Terra still has that power within all of his attacks, both in FM+, and BBS. The way these two characters are drastically changed in both versions, it would seem that both of them has lost something in one way or another. The other rumor is that you will be able to dual wield keyblades as any character, clearly this is unfound since they hardly showed any  vid that confirmed or hinted at it. It would be great, but as I said, don't get your hopes up. Unfortunately, this game doesn't allow any play as Sora, breaking the ice for the first Kingdom Hearts game without it's main character in the mix. I've yet to see any other character gameplay besides the three, but the only one that "might" be playable is Mickey I guess, but it's a very low chance. The rumor is true for one statement though, and that this is connected to the main Kingdom hearts story, so you will have to play this game to not be out of the loop when Kingdom Hearts III comes out. The rumor about this being KHIII is definitely not true since its a handheld game, and it doesn't include any of the main characters at all. Its also not true that KHBBS, 365/2 days, and KH Coded are actually KHIII put together. This cant be true because two of the games don't even heavily promote Sora, and only one game shows any real new content. (Only Xion was new in 365/2 days) You know what, a cellphone game does not make a KH's game at all. Plus, it would be well received and a great profit if they did create KHIII because everyone is already drawn into the KH's world. These three games are just the warm up before the real Ace hits the mound.

Another rumor is that the controls wouldn't be well suited for a game like this, but I'd have to say you're completely wrong. Including the Triangle command, it has all the buttons from the original Ps2, plus it has an analog stick and a D-pad. I know it's missing an extra analog plus the back L2 and R2 buttons, but the only thing the analog was used for was is the on screen menu which will probably either have shortcuts, or it'll be directly pressed by the D-pad, and the back shoulder buttons just rotated the camera angle. Remember, even in KHII the on screen menu was kind of slow, you had to stand for a brief second just to choose a command. Other than that though, the controls will not be at all foreign to you, but the analog stick will take a little to get used too, but it's not as different as it may seem. This isn't exactly a rumor, but it's a false pretense to the game that gets me a little pissed. The game will be held in three sessions, one play through for each character, but instead of being exited about it, most people said that they just did this to lengthen gameplay, and it won't last long at all. This is false and I'm going to tell you why. Each character has over ten new worlds that they must visit each, (Trust me, they are long adventurous and massive Unbirth spawning stages with hard bosses in each one.)  and they also have to collect the keychains for each world for new keyblade forms as well as LV up. They have Forms to Lv up as well, and since they each have their own forms, as well  as some they share, this won't be an easy task to do with your "to do" list so full. They also have synthesizing moogles that each character can synthesize new spells, as well as Lv up the old ones. Abilities are always great to use, but also a major pain to obtain since it's so frustrating to do all that Leveling, plus you have to choose between which to equip and which you have to leave behind. This was fun though since the more abilities you had, the more powerful your character would be overall. If this isn't enough, you have to know that the world characters plus donald and goofy were the only ones you could do more work on when Sora was done, and they aren't exactly fun to grind for more stuff when you couldn't even play with them. With two more Keyblade wielders you can use and play with, it's going to be both long and arduous plus fun when you gain the abilities you want and need for each of them.  I'm sure there's a whole lot more stuff  to prove you wrong, but like always, you'll have to wait and see.

I heard the rumor about this game at the E3 convention and it "wowed me" to the point of actually buying the PSP. Thats right, I didn't have one until I heard about this game, and it's what made me buy one in the first place. If you're thinking about getting the PSP Go just for this game, DO NOT BUY IT!! I am not trying to put down the Playstation industry, but this is one of the WORST possible purchases that you could ever, and I mean ever, make.  The game is sleek, it's beautiful, and it slides open for convenience, it's over all a good game, but with no game port, it's horrible for gameplay. You have to be making big bills just to keep up with this game, and I don't want to pay more than what I absolutely must. The console is over 260 dollars, almost 300 dollars in all with tax, and since you have to buy games "online" you have to buy wifi or include it in your internet plan which is another 50-60 dollars. The games online are horrible, and yet they cost as much as 45 dollars for games that cost 30 dollars at the local game store. Plus, if you download it and for whatever reason, the game decides to shut off or go offline, you have to buy the game all over again! This stuff usually only happens on Xbox 360 or other consoles, but you don't have to pay that much for Microsoft points! Just go with the trusty PSP 3000 for only 160 dollars, it's the same thing but at least you have proof of your games. (The difference between them is a small start up speed and overall internet connection plus louder sound. 100 dollars is just not worth it. Even if you are rich, it's just plain ignorance to buy this console at all.) If you want the benefits from the Go experience without paying too much for it, buy a Composite Av cable to connect it to a Tv, then you can turn it as loud as you want on an Hd screen with a bigger picture. This last rumor is sadly true, but it shouldn't stop you from playing online with your friends. The rumor was that any online gameplay with extra characters will totally drop the frame rate and speed to be slower than normal, and that is correct, online play right now is a little iffy, but it won't stop most of you from still getting on. (You know, I've never really noticed it but KH and KHII was a complete one player game, but with all the extra characters plus donald and goofy following you everywhere, it's not like you needed an extra player anyways right?)  If I get more information, I'll add the official rumor answer here and solve all the rumors once and for all.
